# Don't Touch

> Don't Touch is a $5 macOS app that turns a laptop into a calm, screensaver-like screen while you step away (e.g. to the café bathroom) and sets off a loud alarm — red screen, siren, forced full volume, and spoken one-liners like "Why you push me?" — if anyone touches, moves, closes or unplugs it. Disarm by typing a 4-digit PIN. Made by Peter Theill (https://theill.com).

- Platform: macOS 13 Ventura or newer, Apple silicon and Intel. Native, notarized, ~0.5 MB. No account, no cloud, never talks to the internet.
- Price: $5.00 USD, one-time, via Stripe. Purchase link is personal (registered to the buyer) and works on all the buyer's Macs.
- Triggers: any keyboard/trackpad/mouse input; lid closed/opened/tilted; charger unplugged; sleep/wake; optional camera-based movement detection that reacts only when the whole picture shifts (laptop moved), ignoring people walking behind.
- Alarm: pulsing red full-screen, high-pitched siren, volume forced to 100 % every second, a fresh spoken/displayed one-liner between siren bursts (25 lines, pre-recorded with a real voice actor-grade TTS), ⌘Q/⌘-Tab/window close blocked, Mac kept awake. Stops when the PIN is typed (no field, no Enter).
